I love working with people to bring about lasting change in a person’s body and being. I blend treatment massage and deep tissue work with energy and breath work to create sessions that release chronic pain, increase awareness of the causes of pain and imbalance, and help to move toward balance and healing. I work a great deal with musicians, actors, office workers, gardeners, landscapers, educators, dancers, and anyone who wishes to enjoy a life full of movement and freedom.
As a therapist, I primarily work with people who are looking for relief from pain and discomfort from injuries, postural imbalances, chronic overuse, surgery and stress. I practice a form of treatment massage called Normalization of Soft Tissue that includes myofascial release, trigger point therapy and Cyriaxx cross fiber friction. I also offer Swedish massage and deep tissue massage to decrease stress, lower blood pressure, and increase overall well being. I am excited about addressing not only the symptoms of pain of imbalance but really discovering and treating the source(s) of imbalance, and I send my clients away with specific tools and resources so that they can get the most out of their sessions.
If you'd like to give or receive the gift of wellness, increased mobility, decreased pain, decreased stress and overall well being, please feel free to contact me and we can talk about what your best option would be. Also, if you have any questions for me, please feel free to reach out to me by phone or email. I am more than happy to talk with you about any thoughts or questions you may have! I graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy with honors in 2005, and I hold a bachelor’s of music degree in percussion performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

My clientel over the years has consisted of tech designers, computer programmers, chefs, professional dancers, runners, farmers, office workers, performers, the elderly, those with chronic pain diagnoses, those suffering from PTSD, construction workers, professional musicians, aerial dancers, and more! Some clients see me for singular or acute issues and some see me for preventative and long term wellness.

I specialize in the treatment of injuries, chronic pain, alignment through muscle balance, and the use of energetic balance to both achieve and maintain the body’s integrity. I enjoy the investigation of your presenting issues and symptoms... finding a unique treatment plan for you and working together with you to achieve ease, comfort, increased movement range, improved rest, and well-being. I treat muscle, tendon, ligament, and fascia by utilizing Myofascial Release Techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Cyriax cross-fiber friction, imagery for muscle release, and also other subtle approaches targeted at working with your nervous system to promote healing on a deep level. I also call on my understanding of the Alexander Technique as emphasized during my graduate study as a dancer and choreographer at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
I earned my massage certification in 2005 from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), graduating with honors, as part of their rigorous, former 1000-hour program. While attending BCMT, I studied Zen Shiatsu, Therapeutic Swedish Massage, Normalization of Soft Tissue, and Integrative Massage. I also had the fortune to study chair massage, Polarity Therapy, sports massage techniques, and prenatal/postpartum therapy, among others. During my studies, I earned community outreach and internship hours treating dancers at the University of Colorado and the Colorado House Rabbit Society, massaging rescued pet rabbits. In addition to my massage certification, I hold a BS in Secondary Dance Education from Illinois State University and an MFA in Dance Choreography with an emphasis in the Alexander Technique from the University of Colorado. I also work privately with dancers, movers, and performers; using various movement and body work techniques to help them heal from chronic imbalance issues and previous or current injuries. My hands-on work with clients calls on a vast pool of somatic and anatomical knowledge and focuses on the body as a whole system because no single muscle or aspect of the body functions independently. Everything in the body is connected!
